Print Services Agreement
Per-order agreement governing 3D printing services provided by Cascade Forge.
1. Scope
This Print Services Agreement ("Agreement") applies to each order for 3D printing services placed with Cascade Forge. Approving a quote constitutes acceptance of this Agreement and the Cascade Forge Terms of Service. In the event of conflict between this Agreement and the Terms of Service, this Agreement governs for print orders.
2. Order Process
An order begins when the client approves a written quote from Cascade Forge. The quote specifies: material, quantity, finishing level, estimated turnaround, and total price. No production begins until a quote is approved. Cascade Forge reserves the right to decline any order.
3. Payment Terms
- Orders under $100: Payment in full is required before production begins.
- Orders $100 or more: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin production. The remaining balance is due before shipment.
- Net-30: Available for approved B2B and contract accounts. Terms must be established prior to order placement.
Minimum order: $30 per build run. This covers machine setup, material preparation, and quality inspection.
4. Cancellation
Orders may be cancelled within 2 hours of quote approval without penalty. After 2 hours, if production has not yet begun, deposits may be applied as credit toward a future order. Once production begins, deposits are non-refundable and the full order amount may be invoiced.
5. Client-Supplied Files
The client is responsible for supplying print-ready files in an accepted format (STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP). Cascade Forge will notify the client if a file has issues that prevent printing. File repair services are available at an additional cost and are quoted separately before any repair work begins. Cascade Forge is not liable for print failures or dimensional inaccuracy resulting from client-supplied file errors.
By submitting a file, the client warrants that they have all rights necessary to have the design produced and that production does not infringe any third-party rights.
6. Materials and Tolerances
Cascade Forge uses professional-grade FDM filament. Standard FDM dimensional tolerance is ±0.2mm or ±0.5%, whichever is greater, depending on geometry. Parts with tighter tolerance requirements must be noted in the quote request. Cascade Forge will advise on feasibility. Actual tolerance achieved may vary by geometry, material, and print orientation. FDM-printed parts are anisotropic; mechanical properties differ by print axis.
7. Finishing
Standard cleanup (support removal, stringing cleanup, QC inspection) is included with every order. Additional finishing options (sanding, XTC-3D epoxy coat) are available as flat-rate add-ons and must be specified in the quote request. Finish results vary by part geometry, layer height, and material. A specific surface finish outcome cannot be guaranteed.
8. Turnaround
Estimated turnaround is stated in the approved quote and is based on print time, queue position, and finishing requirements. Turnaround estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates. Cascade Forge will notify the client of material delays. Do not assume a production start date until the quote is approved and production is confirmed by Cascade Forge.
9. Shipping
Cascade Forge ships via USPS. Shipping cost is included in the approved quote. Risk of loss transfers to the client upon handoff to the carrier. Cascade Forge is not responsible for carrier delays or damage after handoff. Shipping to international addresses is available; additional transit time and customs fees may apply.
10. Inspection and Acceptance
The client must inspect delivered parts within 5 business days of receipt and notify Cascade Forge in writing of any defects, shortages, or damage. After 5 business days, parts are deemed accepted. Cascade Forge's liability for accepted defects is limited to reprint or credit at our election.
11. Prohibited Items
Cascade Forge will not produce items designed to cause harm, functional firearms or components, counterfeit or unauthorized replicas of protected designs, or items that violate applicable law. Submission of a request for prohibited items will result in order rejection.
12. File Retention
Client files are retained for 3 years from order completion to facilitate reorders. Files are not shared with third parties. Clients may request deletion at any time.
13. Warranty Disclaimer
PRINT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS." CASCADE FORGE MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT PRINTED PARTS ARE FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR USE. THE CLIENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING SUITABILITY FOR THEIR APPLICATION. CASCADE FORGE DOES NOT WARRANT PERFORMANCE OF PRINTED PARTS BEYOND THE DIMENSIONAL AND MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS STATED IN THE APPROVED QUOTE.
14. Limitation of Liability
CASCADE FORGE'S MAXIMUM LIABILITY FOR ANY PRINT ORDER SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THAT ORDER. CASCADE FORGE IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES.
15. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Disputes shall be resolved as specified in the Cascade Forge Terms of Service.
