Service Materials Common Applications

Standard Print

PLA PETG ASA Prototypes, housings, display models, fixtures, functional parts

Flexible Print

TPU95 Gaskets, grips, wearables, impact-resistant and flexible parts

Carbon Fiber Composite

PLA-CF PETG-CF Lightweight structural parts, brackets, tooling, stiff functional parts

Multi-Color Print

PLA PETG Branded parts, display models, props, figures, signage

High-Detail Print

0.2mm nozzle

PLA PETG Fine detail models, dental and medical proxies, miniatures.

Custom Material

Specialty / Sourced Customer-specified or specialty engineering materials sourced per project
Coming Soon

Resin / SLA Printing

High-resolution resin printing enables surface detail and accuracy that FDM cannot match. Ideal for dental models, fine miniatures, jewelry masters, and components where layer lines are not acceptable. Resin capability is currently in development. Contact us to be added to the notification list when it launches.

Project Timeline

Turnaround varies by project. A standard print-only job with a file ready to run typically ships within 3–5 business days. Jobs involving design work, sourced materials, complex geometry, or multi-run production require additional time. Exact timeline is confirmed at quoting. Do not assume a start date until your quote is approved and production is confirmed.

Post-Processing Options

Standard Cleanup

Included

Support removal, stringing cleanup, and QC inspection with every order at no charge.

Sanding

Flat-Rate Add-On

Mechanical surface smoothing by hand. Reduces layer line visibility and softens surface texture. Results in a matte or satin finish. Best suited for flat or gently curved surfaces. Surface accuracy is slightly reduced at contact points.

  • Under 100g: $15
  • 100–300g: $25
  • Over 300g: $40

XTC-3D Epoxy Coat

Flat-Rate Add-On

Brush-applied, self-leveling epoxy finish. Bonds to the print surface and fills layer lines without mechanical abrasion. Produces a semi-gloss to high-gloss result. Handles complex geometry better than sanding. Adds a very thin surface layer; not recommended for parts with tight dimensional tolerances.

  • Under 100g: $15
  • 100–300g: $25
  • Over 300g: $40

Finish results vary by part geometry, layer height, and material. A specific finish outcome cannot be guaranteed. We will advise on the best option for your part at quoting.

From Concept to File

No file? Our designers can bring your idea to reality starting from sketches, photos, references, or a description.

General Design

Product concepts, enclosures, display pieces, custom hardware and functional parts. We work from whatever reference you have.

Specialist Design

Mechanical engineering, organic sculpting, architectural modeling, and other disciplines requiring domain expertise. Matched to your project.

STL Repair & Optimization

Non-printable or damaged geometry repaired and optimized for production. We advise upfront if a file cannot be salvaged so you can make an informed decision.

Coming Soon

3D Scanning

Scan-to-print capability for reverse engineering, replication, and restoration. Physical objects digitized and prepared for production.

Design services are scoped and quoted individually before work begins. A separate design quote is provided and must be approved prior to any design work being performed. Design turnaround depends on project complexity and current queue. Cascade Forge does not guarantee specific aesthetic outcomes. Upon payment in full, the customer receives the design files produced for their project.

What to Know Before You Submit

Accepted File Types

STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP preferred. Files up to 25MB can be attached directly to the quote form. For larger files, contact orders@cascade-forge.com and we will arrange an alternative transfer method. No file needed for design service requests.

Build Volume

256 x 256 x 256mm max single piece. Larger projects can be split into sections. Note this in your quote request.

Quantity Runs

Batch printing available for efficiency. Specify count in your quote request and we factor it into pricing.

STL Repair

We assess and advise before any work begins. If a file cannot be fixed we tell you upfront so you can decide how to proceed.
